Hello beauties,

What's with the weather these days eh! It has become so hot and humid. And this humidity is a killer for me. It aggravates my sinusitis and gives me either a sneeze attack or a blocked nose often...

Phew! SO much for my health cribbing. Btw, this is a long overdue post but I think its better late than never :-) I have always been a bohemian kind of a person. Someone who wasn't ladylike in her early years, loved wearing long skirts and faded denims equally, wasn't worried about having her hair good or looking pretty all the time...  So cottons have always been like second skin to me. I was introduced to the brand FabIndia by my elder sister. She had bought a lovely vegetable dyed blue and green kurta from Fabindia in her college, which when she got bored (much after her masters), she handed over to me.
I too wore it in my college and even when I started working as a journalist, for Fabindia by then had become synonymous with intellectual rationalists. It stayed between us for over 6 years and love continues. I always love shopping from FabIndia from their stores as the ambiance in itself is so pleasant.
But recently, I was checking out their website and saw some pieces which I had not found in stores. I shopped from the site for the first time and here's more on my experience.

So here comes dear ladies,

Awesome online shopping experience with Fabindia.com

My shopping experience
I simply love Fabindia. Not because they are a popular or known brand, but somehow their fit and their styles make me feel as if they have been customized for me. Infact, I love cotton so much that Fabindia becomes a perfect destination for me to shop. So when I checked their online site out, I thought of shopping from their instead of going to the store.

When I logged into their ecommerce site, I was fascinated. Just like their stores, the website is clean and easy to navigate around. All the sections in apparels, furniture, personal care etc are very clearly marked. Even the new arrivals and sale stuff is in a different section.

Navigating through various sections is really easy. The best thing is that you have all the products available in almost all the sizes. So even if a particular piece is not available in your size at the store, you may find it here. Also, if you don't have a Fabindia store in your city, this is a way you can shop to your hearts content. After all, they are shipping to almost all the cities in India having various courier partners including speed post.

And this is one of the piece I ordered. The colour I opted was yellow, red and maroon. This is the second shade.

I got my package in two parts (As one part of my order had to be cancelled due to non-availability and then I ordered again). But both the times it reached me with 4 days which is really impressive. However, the customer care still needs a lot of improvement.

In my case, I wasn't able to get through the customer care numbers mentioned easily and when I finally did, they were not aware of the status of my order. It took me a dozen calls and some emails to finally get the details. But after the initial fiasco, everything including my second order went off super smooth.

And am sure you guys have already seen my complete outfit from Fabindia in an earlier post.

Thumbs up for
-       The widest range from Fabindia. Much bigger than any of the stores around.
-       User friendly website with easy search and navigation.
-       All details related to the product (including whether in stock or not) are clearly mentioned when you click on the products.
-    Ships almost to all cities across India and even International shipping.
- Timely shipping and delivery.

Thumbs down for
-     The customer care numbers need a lot of improvement. They can make or break any ecommerce site.

PEL SHOUTS
I would say that I loved my shopping experience from FabIndia.com. Although it is not as beautiful an experience as shopping from their stores, yet the variety, the range and the easy navigation really makes up for it. Infact, whenever I don't find my size at the store, I know where to look for. Must visit :-) . BTW, this is not a sponsored post at all.
