Love those hands? Now love them a little more...

If you want a chic and polished look, nothing beats a classic French manicure. This style of manicure is easy and you can do it yourself at home.
Hi Girl's my today's post is on how to pamper your nails… taking a break from Street Vs Brands for a while… J

We all unintentionally happen to notice good hands or feet ... with labour like arty hands I have, I have no other option but to pamper my nails.
Nail Art is very in but the ever classic remains the "French Manicure". I personally feel it gives one a very neat and tidy look. It's a 3 layer process so you need to chuck your phone, the laptop and other things to fiddle around you for a while. French Manicure is my personal favourite as it matches with everything I wear, it's just the most neutral and safest manicure to go with.

So here's how you can go about it, simply in the cosy environs of your home… -

Step 1:- Remove your nail paint and dip hands or feet in luke warm water (add left over shampoo drops in it or bleaching powder activator… Even a few drops of lemon juice would help)
Step 2 :- Trim, file and shape your nails. My personal favourite is shaping them squarish on the ends but you can always go with the curved look.

Step 3:- Apply First base coat of either a manicure set you own or any other nude shade. Pink nudes for fair hands and brown nude for darker hands work the best. Let it dry
Step 4:- With either the help of sticker stencils that come in a manicure set or free hand apply white coat only over that part of your nail that has grown above skin i.e. the top ends. Now this layer takes time to dry so give it 10 minutes. Sip some nice green or flavoured tea in the meanwhile.

Step 5:- The last and final coat, transparent nail coat needs to be applied to give it a shine blast and final sealing top coat.
Step 6:- Most important step, wear pretty rings or bracelets and flaunt your hands haha :D

Products Used:-  I happened to have been looking for a cheap french manicure set for trial purpose came across this box by the name of "Miss Claire's" at INR 150 only.
It is a good product, but I’d recommend one to go with individual nail paint of good brands as these take longer to dry and wear off faster.
The colours used are neutral ones and not at all hard to find in different brands.
(Try Elle18 or Colorbar for white, Colorbar for Nude shades both pink and
brown and Maybelline for transparent top coat)

Manicure Tips :- Dip hands in ice cold water for faster drying if you're running late. Use a nail buffer to get rid of yellowing of nails.

PEL Shouts : Oh I absolutely loved this post Aakriti. The french manicure in indeed a favourite with me too. And even though I keep my nails short, I do cheat with french manis :-) And I can see that you love the top coat a lot ;-)
