Getting a little informal with MaalGaadi (JOTD)
By Tarry
Hola
my lovely chicas J
Am
sure most of you would be super excited for the festival season to start off.
According to the Indian calendar, the Navratras kick start the festivities. I
am really excited. And yes, I will be sharing some of this excitement with you
guys too as there is a wonderful giveaway lined up to make you look your
fashionable best for autumns and winters J
How
many of you practically live off formals? Well, I have been a journalist for
over a decade and for me, formals were something which I was practically never
adorning. Even when into TV, I preferred going semi-formal then completely
formal way. So there were tees with trousers and so on.
Actually,
deep inside me, I am a boho and a wanderer, who like wind blown hair and easy,
fuss free dressing. Denims are like my second skin and I can practically live
off harems and long skirts.
But
now, working in a corporate environment means I have to be formal in my attire.
Here too, I leave no chances to add that little ‘informal’ touch to them to let
the ‘formality’ not bind me down. So when I had to style a pretty ‘A little
pink but mint’ neckpiece from MaalGaadi, I decided to use it for the little
touch.
So
here it is, the latest OOTD and JOTD,
Getting a little informal with MaalGaadi.

The
neckpiece, all floral design with a touch of bling, is one of the prettiest
ones I have in my collection. It has a lovely floral design with a pink flower
in the centre and lovely mint green leaves on the side. Set in golden metal,
the chain is quite comfortable and hides beautifully within the collars of a
formal shirt.
|
What
I loved the most about this neckpiece from MaalGaadi is that despite being
super affordable, it is made from a good metal base. My skin is quite sensitive
and turns red if the metal is bad. But nothing like this happened with this
piece. Infact, it is so light weight and comfy to wear, that I had to keep
checking whether it is there or not … J

When
it comes to formals, the classic white shirt is always something I adore.
Infact, I just have three crisp shirts in my wardrobe and all are classic
colours with cuts. Somehow, white is a colour that goes well with all bottoms
and all occasions.
|
I
paired my classic white shirt with a bottle green trouser that I also adore.
Apart from red and blue bottoms, this is the only colour I liked and hence,
added it to my wardrobe. The fabric is cotton with a lycra blend, that fits in
perfectly on my curvy figure. Also, I prefer to fold them a bit from the bottom
as this is what I am always comfortable with… the informal touch.
|
Since
the trousers were adding much needed colour to the attire, I preferred to opt
for nude flats. Just a watch as accessory, alongwith stone studs in the ears to
complete the look. For the informal touch, instead of my regular high ponytail
or bun, I made a super messy side braid which kept going messier… J
|
I
am in love with the smokey eye looks these days and pair them with almost
everything. So here, I went for a dark green smokey eyes, with a hint of blush
and pinkish nude lips.
