OOTD : Riot of Colours ... featuring Sammydress

By Tarry

"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass,
It's all about getting out there and dancing in the rains…"

Hola my lovelies ,

I am a monsoon maniac... Means I simply love the monsoons...
From the smell of the wet earth to the leaves to enjoying those downpours to just dancing or even just walking in the rains, I love everything about monsoons. Haan it does create a havoc for my hair, but still, I love this weather ;-)

Anyways, I recently shopped with sammydress.com which is a wonderful website to buy really inexpensive stuff. I was looking for some nice comfy tops to wear in the monsoons and their options just fitted the bill (and my budget too).

For me, monsoons is all about colour. I strongly detest wearing colours like grey (which i never do) or browns in this season. Come on... everything around us is so fresh and colourful. So why shouldn't we add some colours in our wardrobe (and our lives) too ?

I was confused on how to shoot this OOTD... Coz I am a curvy girl who doesn't look like a model wee bit. But an email and some thoughts finally decided it. I wanted to look like a regular girl, who is not a fashionista but loves to dress up. Also, I could not pose model like because I keep giggling... Still I loved the final outcome... Hope you all love it as well :-)

So ladies, here's my OOTD for monsoons,

the RIOT OF COLOURS ...

First up is my favourite photograph from the lot.

Sammydress.com is indeed a wonderful website. Not only are the outfits super cheap,  but even the quality is awesome. Since they are retailers, you can find their garments of really good quality.

The moment I saw this flowy top, I immediately fell in love with it. It had such lovely colours and the pattern was simply beautiful. Nice flowy scoop neck top in awesome chiffon material that is so comfy for those humid days. Since I have really broad shoulders (Blame it to my shotput and weight lifting days), It was more like a small off shoulders. But on slimmer girls, this would look so beautifully off shoulders and really chic.

I teamed this with a white vest underneath to give it a layered kind of a look. Bottoms were my favourite pairs of denims from Levi's. Their curve id is indeed a boon for us curvy girls to get that perfect fit.

Since the outfit was quite colourful, I decided to keep the footwear neutral. So my favourite beige peeptoes came in handy for this look, keeping me comfortable for the weather. Also, since I prefer flats for monsoons, these were just perfect.

Since I wanted to focus on the outfit, I keep my accessories and makeup light. My wrist was adorned with a colourful wrist watch from Jabong.com, while for my ears I chose heart embossed hoops from Shoppers Stop. Makeup was bare minimum using Loreal BB cream as base, Rimmel matte powder, a flush of colour (peach) from Maybelline cheeky glow on the cheeks and Chambor Powder Matte lipstick in Rose Fresque (review here http://panchtatva-the-essence-of-life.blogspot.in/2014/07/chambor-powder-matte-lipstick-rose.html) on my lips. Hair was tied back in a simple messy bun. On my eyes, I splashed loads of blues from my recently won BH Cosmetics 60 eye shadow in a giveaway by Forever Magnifico. So it was blue on my eyes, which was subtle yet made its presence felt.

The last one is another favourite photograph of mine. Loved being around these geese, who were least worried about my presence around them ;-)
