Fashion Files : Street Vs Brands - Rings that make a statement
By
Aakriti
Hi
everyone,
Thank
you all for showing love towards my Street Vs Brands series. I am a newbie but
your appreciation certainly means a lot to me.
For
this week's Street Vs Brands, I'd like to start with a quote by Coco Channel
"in order to be irreplaceable one must always be different..."
Well
yes, girls need to be different and yet, be trendy and in fashion. Today, I am
going to talk about my most favourite accessory that I wear like me second skin
- The statement rings.
Here
is the first category, Street
Not
only are they attractive, but solve the problem of wearing 2 rings in just one.
See, simple na :-)
I
recently picked up this dual ring, which totally caught my eye the moment I saw
it. It's Golden, its dual and it is bling ... what more does a girl want !
I picked it up for its Font design, just totally love the way it says "PEACE" on it. There are various such rings easily available in the market now. The price that I picked it up for was truly unbelievable!

I
wish I could have picked more as I realised how well it goes along with almost
all outfits. I happened to have picked it from a fund raiser fete in Sector 33
in Chandigarh. It's an amazing buy and a must have in a girl's accessory box!
And
now here's the second category, Brands.
Now
that you have heard about my love for rings, here comes the second style which
I call the 'THE MID-RINGS'.
STYLE
IDOL for this accessory is indeed Riri or Rihanna. Riri was the first one to be
seen wearing these rings in her latest music videos... later did we all realise
it's a new fashion statement.
Took
for these rings has to be more of either party or freestyle. One can pop them
in one's fingers with nicely painted nails and you are ready for the bling
look. Wear it to a party or just when you want your hands to do the talking.
I
happened to have made my purchase from an international chain of stores that is
now open in Chandigarh called "Claire's" and yes its the best place a
girl can be in ! Though they are now easily available at various other
accessory stores like Ginger, Qoup, Aldo etc.
Price
: Fairly decent price INR 350 for 3 mid-rings gold polished
That's
all for this week's edition of Street Vs Brands. Do keep giving your love to
this and I will keep coming back with more :-)
PEL
SHOUTS : WOW Aakriti... that are some statement accesories I must say. Both of
them have their own charm and look awesome. Personally, I prefer those huge
Boho kind rings and I end up teaming them with both Indian and Western attire.
Great Post...
