Loreal Gelmatic pen eyeliner in Blue Force – Review, Swatch and EOTD.

By Tarry

“….True love
You're the one I'm dreaming of
Your heart fits me like a glove
And I'm gonna be true blue baby I love you…”

Hmmm…. My first tryst with international music was the pop queen Madonna. Oh I was such a fan of hers and loved all her songs. From Like a virgin (although when I used to hum it, barely knew the meaning) to True blue, she was my pop queen for ages… So when I wanted to talk about blue, this is the only song that came to my mind…
So you know that I am talking about something blue on the eyes today J  He He he! Well, the title also says it right J

Ever since I could manage to use eye liners, I loved coloured eye liners. And since I am essentially basic blue denim girl (leaving the work days when I have to be in formals :p), the deep royal blue and navy blue have been my favourites… since the last two months, somehow my love for that stark blue on my eyes has once again risen all over again.

I was hunting for a nice blue, more towards navy, for the eyes. And the wish finally came true to Saturday. I was out with a friend for some masti time, when we decided to look around for the blue liner. She said she was thinking of gifting me one but wanted a colour that I like. So like mad we went from one counter to another and finally, ended up buying a colour that I am so very loving.
Presenting to you my dear ladies,
THE LOREAL GELMATIC EYELINER IN BLUE FORCE.

ON THE OUTSIDE :

The Loreal Gelmatic eye liner is a twistable pencil (and I AM NOT SAYING RETRACTABLE) in a black case with golden lining and wordings. The bottom is the colour of the shade, thus making it easily recognizable.
Interestingly, you find a small sharpener inside this bottom once you remove it, which is good too. Now the bad part. Since this is just a twistable pencil, be careful to take out only the required amount or else it would not go back and you would have to break it. But otherwise, the packaging looks nice.

ON THE INSIDE :

Hmmm… so here comes why I love this. Loreal gelmatic eyeliner in Blue force is a True Blue. A lovely navy blue that is shimmery but not metallic and can be worn anytime of the day. It looks awesome on my brown eyes and enhances their colour.
The shade is good in single swipe and double swipe give an awesome pigmentation. The staying power is quite impressive too. Truly waterproof, smudgeproof and sweatproof too, this stayed on my lids for some 8.5 hours, with no fading at all.
I am happy… J Also, the colour is a must for those denim-lover girls coz this would go awesome with your blues…
Now the texture… And this is where my smile curve inverts L
The texture is quite smooth but even a little, just a little pressure ends up breaking the tip… Which means you have to lose the product. But it doesn’t tug or pull, so there is some solace atleast J

THUMBS UP FOR :

-       Lovely navy blue colour that would suit all eyes, all complexions.
-       Decent price tag.
-       Easy availability.
-       Good texture
-       -        The staying power is impressive.. I got more than 8 hours without fading.
-       Waterproof and smudgeproof.
-       Lovely packaging.

THUMBS DOWN FOR :

- Twistable, and not retractable packaging which can end to breakage and product wastage.
- Creamy texture also leads to wastage if a little pressure is exerted.

PEL RATING
4.8 out of 5
