BEAUTY BOX - Colorbar lip pot in Cherry Pop
By Tarry
Hey friends....
As I thought of putting a post today, I decided to write about one of my favourite makeup products :
The Colorbar lip pot in Cherry Pop.
Price : Rs 495 /- for 6 gm (I find it such a value for money)
Red is my favourite colour but so far, whenever I thought of putting it on my lips, I chickened out :)
I have full lips and always thought that using red on them would be a little too inviting. However, off late I saw the entire blogsphere going crazy over different reds on the lips. From mattes to frosts to creams to metalllics, almost all shades and hues of reds were ruling everywhere.
Finally, encourage by a few blogger friends and my friends, I decided to take the plunge. And after loads of research, decided to make the Colorbar lip pot in cherry pop my first ever red :)
I simply love the name cherry pop. It really looks like tonnes of cherries have been popped out to bring in their juice as a liquid. An amazing colour which will definately suit all the complexions from fair to dusky.
The lip pot is a cute plastic tub, which has a silver metallic cap screwable cap on the top. This makes it good for travelling purpose. The colour is highly pigmented and one can build it up from a stain to deep red by simply adding swipes.
The colour is a beautiful deep red with slight blue undertones. The lip colour itself has a glossy look that wears off into a semi-matte finish. It is very moisturising and awesome for dry lips. The smell is a nice vanilla caramel mix types, which does not stay for long.
Incidentally, when I initially bought it, I was skeptical about its staying power. However, I am quite amazed by it. On my lips, it stays for a good 4 hours, and wears off as a soft lovely stain.
What I likes the most about this colour is that I can use it as a stain for everyday use, or I can build it up for super pouty lips for a party. The only con is that one needs to carry a brush but I don't mind it.
Here is a lip swatch wearing it as a light colour.
It is my first red and really close to my heart. But I will also recommend it to all red lovers to atleast try once.
Do leave in your comments below. If you have tried any of these lip pots, do write to me.
Also, in case you have found them to be similar to any other lip pots, do share it with me...
Till next
stay blessed....
