Hola lovelies…

I have been on a explore trip this month. And by explore trip I mean I have been exploring new things.... new food, new hobbies, new interests and new people. And somehow, when it comes to my discovery tours, the universe goes all the way to help me out and satisfy the wanderlust in me. 

Recently, I was invited to witness a new concept in Lucknow... an Ethnic designer and lifestyle store and a Bonsai gallery under one roof. The idea was indeed appealing, because where else do you get items to decorate yourself and your office too in the same place... I was all for it and truly loved the experience. Those who follow me on instagram and fb have already had a glimpse of what I am talking about... BTW if you don't, follow me now :-)

MimamsAa designer and Lifestyle Store and Wow Plants 

 Mimamsaa... the name itself is quite appealing. It is a sanskrit word meaning reflection. And the designs, by young and uber talented designer Ankita Singh, are an ideal reflection of her thoughts and love for Indian textiles. A NIFT alumni, Ankita has worked with a number of apparel brands before she decided to launch her own label, at Gomti Nagar in Lucknow. 

Now, a glimpse into MimamsAa's collection. Ankita Singh is a designer who loves Indian textiles and traditional embroideries and this very well reflects in her label as well. MimamsAa uses traditional designs like chikankari, zardozi, benarasi weave, kimkhaab and muqaish on fabrics like cotton and silk, fusing them with global cuts to create apparels that can be flaunted by women of all age groups and body shapes. From Indian Ethnics like kurtas, sarees, stoles and even lehengas to westerns like Tunics, Dresses and tops, MimamsAa has it all. Take a look. 

 

Each of the pieces is either handcrafted in Lucknow or in Varanasi. And the best part... if you love a design but not its colour, you can get it customised too. Ankita beautifully fuses east with the west to cater to all hand weave loving crowd.

The premises also has a Bonsai gallery and store, WOW plants. Run by Sanchit Agarwal, WOW plants is your perfect destination if you are looking for a nice bonsai plant for your home or office, or even to gift someone.  Wow Plants not only sells Bonsais, but even beautiful containers in which they can be planted or gifted. 

Take a look at their collection. 

From Imli to Bargad to Peepal and even citrus fruit trees, Wow has an immense collection of Bonsai. It has the good luck bamboos in beautiful pots and lovely cacti too. A conversation with the owner can also help you understand on how you can maintain your bonsai better. With living spaces shrinking, Bonsai indeed is a good idea to add some soothing green to your home and make the atmosphere green and clean.
