Hello my lovelies
Happy Dhanteras …. And a very
Happy Diwali to you all.
This
is the final post for the week before all of you get busy with the last minute
preparations for the festive season.
Diwali
is all about celebrations, enjoyment, happy time with friends and family and
ofcourse, looking good. And while most of you must have already planned loads
of stuff for your dressing up for all those parties and outings, this post is
for the woman who does everything and barely has time for herself…. She is the
working woman, a mother, a daughter, a wife or a bahu. Imagine her day on
Diwali. Getting up early in the morning to haggle with the maid for that last
minute extra cleaning, rush to the office for the Diwali Puja… come back home
to prepare the sweets for the pooja… getting all dresses ready for hubby
dearest and the kids… ensuring the elders in the family also have everything
ready….
Amidst
all this, she may barely get time for herself. But she too has to dress up. So
my Diwali look is an effortless look, where some simple combinations make the
entire outfit classic and beautiful. Presenting
my #Diwalispecial look
I
glow to end the darkness
Ft Simply Silver by Neha
I always wanted to do a look which was simple, yet looked appealing and classy. And recently, I was sent a beautiful pair of earrings from Neha Jain, a jewellery creator whose labels ‘Simply Silver by Neha’ fuses the traditional designs in a modern way. This pair of earrings looks very appealing and adds the right amount of classiness to any outfit. The 925 silver earrings have 8 shaped design. The top is a round stud, whereas the bottom is a round pearl. While it is not blingy, yet the classic pearl adds a nice glow to the wearer. Lovely indeed. Her store is on Facebook and whatsapp.
For my outfit, I wanted to chose something which was classy, yet gave an option of running around comfortably. And my all time favourite Pantaloons Fashion came to my rescue. The skirt is from their summer collection and looks fabulous. I paired it with a beautiful short kurta from Pantaloons. This kurta has golden paisley embroidery print on the border and a red jacket with gold motifs. The jacket makes all the difference. The rich colours add that right amount of festiveness to the outfit. For footwear, I chose golden wedges to add some bling.
For my makeup and hair, I kept it simple. My base was my current favourite foundation from Maybelline, eyes with Elf and MAC, blush MAC and for my lips, I chose my new favourite NYX Intense Butter Gloss. (Review coming soon). The makeup is simple with slightly winged eyes and glossy lips. For hair, I had initially made a bun but opened it for a low ponytail…. My ready-to-go hairstyle. Overall, I love how the look is totally effortless and yet, would make you stand out like a light in the darkness… Loved it.
