Join the Green Diwali campaign and say no to pollution
Green Diwali campaign, Glitstreet.com, Diwali, no pollution this diwali
Every
Diwali, we buy new clothes, new gadgets, and celebrate with our friends and
family. But there is a dark side to Diwali as well – Increased Air and Noise
Pollution, Child labour in the Cracker Industry, and a large section of
homeless people who aren’t able to celebrate as they would have liked.
Glitstreet.com
is celebrating a “GREEN DIWALI” and
is looking at creating awareness. For this initiative, they are inviting people (various
celebrities, artistes, members of the fashion community, startup community, and
citizens to share their way of celebrating an eco-friendly Diwali.
Here’s
how they are doing it –
-
Creating small mobile videos of saying “Happy
Diwali”, no crackers, no pollution just mithai and other goodies. These videos
will be reach out to all on our social media platforms as well as of those
supporting us.
-
They are taking this awareness to street
kids and sharing joy of Diwali in the slums of Delhi.
-
Give away 10% of generated sales on Glitstreet.com during November to Goonj, (a
leading NGO supporting the homeless, whose founder Anshu Gupta was recently
awarded the Magsaysay Award)
All
you have to do is click a quick phone shot video of yourself with a short
Diwali message wishing everyone a Happy Diwali, and a Green Diwali, and
anything that you’d like to say to promote a green Diwali, and share that with
us. Whatsapp this video on +919871008976 with your name and city.
