Hi my beautiful ladies…
First of all, Happy Ganesh Chaturthi.... Infact, it seems the festival season has begun... Bakrid is just round the corner, followed by Navratri, Dushhera, DIwali, Christmas and more.... AHA! time for me to think about some nice lookbooks :-)

As most of you may be aware, I have dry wavy hair. And ever since I got ombre done (remember my post on it and also, updates on insta?), the ends had become super duper dry. So I have been looking for permutations and combinations (read shampoo, conditioner, hair mask) for such hair type. And I came across something which you may have read people going ga ga over, but for me, it was a super dud.

So here what I think and feel about the

Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo

What the brand claims
With the new Dove Oxygen Moisture, you no longer need to choose between well moisturized hair and natural volume. Oxyfusion technology for Dove promises you both!  So leave your hair worries aside, and breathe life into dry, dull hair. Dove Oxygen Moisture shampoo is a transparent, lightweight formula comprising of oxyfused moisture ingredients that instantly disperse on the hair. This formula helps to gently cleanse and nourish hair, leaving it beautifully bouncy, and full of natural volume. Enriched with the Oxyfusion technology, the Dove Oxygen Moisture Conditioner delicately moisturizes dry and dull hair, restores smoothness and leaves hair looking thicker

On the Outside
Hmmm.... Dove has changed its packaging once again. This one is an opaque white bottle with a flip open blue cap. Travel friendly and has almost all details. Basically, all other shampoo varients have white caps, but this is the only one with a blue cap. Different, but good enough to be carried. Basic and nice packaging.

On the Inside
Unlike other Dove variants, this is the first one to be in a gel like form. Like those clarifying shampoos. Light blue, this one claims to have active oxygen and has a very faint smell. It lathers well and does clean your hair and scalp well. Also, it does manage to remove oil too. So far so good...
However, as soon as my hair dried, the effect was nothing what I was thinking of. My ends looked like jhadu.... really, all those waves had simply vanished. Instead, my hair looked more dry. They did look frizz-free though, yet very dull with no shine at all. Even using a hair mask did not improve things much. Seriously, not for those with dry hair.

Thumbs up for
-       Affordable with travel friendly packaging.
-   No overpowering smell.
-       Cleans hair and scalp well.

Thumbs down for
-      Makes my hair dull and even more dry.
- Does nothing what it claims.
- May suit oily hair.

PEL RATING

PEL SHOUTS
The Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo is a decent cleanser for oily or normal hair. But for dry hair, it's a big no-no. Even though Dove has marketed it for dry hair, I think if you don't want your hair to resemble a jhaadu (broom), don't pick this one up.... Strictly...
