“Have you ever wondered how nostalgia isn't what it used to be…”
- Jasper Fforde

Nostalgia.... it's such a beautiful word. We often get nostalgic over many things.... the first time we danced in the rains, the first time we went to school, our first friends, those hide-and-seek moments with friends, some quite moments in our old house or a place we love... oooh! even as I write this, I feel nostalgic.

And sometimes, when we visit a place which has been a piece from history, we feel nostalgic too. We wish we can go back in time, enjoy some peaceful moments we yearn for, make a new treasure of memories and come back to become nostalgic once again, just one more time.

This is what exactly happened with this shoot. Exploring a lost heritage, we ended up in a time warp. The outfit, the jewellery, the surroundings and the mood just added up to all we thought of. The calmness of the place, which once would have been a centre of activity, enveloped us to make the morning even more beautiful.

So my dearies, presenting the OOTD,
Time warp & Nostalgia,
Featuring Anokhi Jewelry & Accessory & FabIndia

The post brings together two of my favourite brands, Anokhi jewelry and Fabindia. And also, a magnificent monument that once has witnessed some beautiful times. The true beauty of this monument came out when we were shooting their early at 6.30 a.m. Moosbagh, once a hunting lodge for the British, now lies in ruins... If you want to read more about Moosabagh palace, read here

Now, let me talk about this piece of jewellery. One of the most fascinating pieces from Anokhi's grand collection, this pendant is an antique old tribal piece which has been recreated. The old world look of this pendant gives it a rustic charm which can overshadow anything. Even in this ootd, it beautifully overshadows everything around it and enjoys being the hero... Team it with a simple outfit and it speaks volumes about your better tastes in life :-)

The outfit too is another favourite of mine. A long colour-block skirt, which is flowy and crinkled in cotton, it speaks COMFORT in capitals. The top is a short kurti in leaf print. I got both from Fabindia (will be posting more about my experience shopping from them online). The skirt is just perfect for summers and monsoons alike and has a lot of 'gher'. Super comfortable and gorgeously ethnic, it also has a small pocket to keep your knick knacks if you want to walk around in it hassle free. Love both.

This post, and more to come, is in collaboration with Ajay Jain of Waltz Tours & Travels Pvt Ltd. Check out their website here. As I said, Ajay breathes tourism and for him, the true nature of a city is through its old galis and heritage. He lives for showing the unseen side of places known or unknown. PEL, photographer Naeem Chishti and Waltz have decided to showcase some old galis, markets and long lost heritages of the Lucknow city.

Passionate teammates Ajay Jain and Naeem Chishti. A Big thanks to you guys

Now, not speaking much and just going back in time, I'll leave you to enjoy the clicks...

Btw, this post is a special gift to Abhilasha Mehta, lovely fashion blogger from Looking Good Feeling Fab. Love how she styles ethnics in a gorgeous way and I feel so inspired by her. Love you girl!
