Chandigarh has grown
from being a sleepy small town to being a hustling bustling city. I recently
returned home from Canada for holidays and of course one of the first things to
do was a catching up spree with Aakriti. We decided to have a nice lunch at Chilis which
is one of the best diners at Elante Mall, Chandigarh. Though having eaten here
many times, it remains one of our favourite places to eat, grab a drink and
have a relaxing conversation.
Indian Food Blog/ restaurant glimpse and quick review of Chilis Chandigarh |
Chilis is excellent with courteous and friendly staff who will frequently check up on your table, give suggestions while ordering and ensure you have a great experience. The ambiance is really enjoyable with great music and a casual seating arrangement. The highlight of our trip was the day being a Monday, as Chilis does a 1+1 offer on drinks and food every Monday and Tuesday, making those their busiest days of the week.

Aakriti and I ordered
a Pasta Alfredo (Vegetarian) and as part of our 1+1 deal, a Spinach
and Cheese Quesadilla platter served with rice and Mexican beans in
gravy on the side. We ordered Pink Lemonades as the drinks to go
with the meal. The food arrived in about 15 minutes and we were absolutely
thrilled with the same. The quantity was just right, in fact a bit more than
our appetites, and the drinks were great refreshers on a hot summer day! Just
what we had hoped for!

The restaurant has an
excellent and wide variety of food and drinks at reasonable prices. We paid
about INR 1200 for our two dishes and drinks, and left the place feeling quite
full. We give the place thumbs up and recommend everyone to try it at least
once.
The American diner
however hasn’t reached all Indian cities as yet, so make sure you plan a trip
to one wherever you spot it!
