So finally, the Cannes 2015 fever is over. I somehow always feel it is a little overrated. And the underdogs always end up taking the best piece of the pie.  Like every year, amidst an AIshwarya or a Sonam, someone else walks down the red carpet looking even more astonishing. 

This year too, I personally feel that amidst all these high profile celebs, it was the fab actress Richa Chaddha who, without creating a hullabaloo, managed to make her presence felt on the red carpet. 

Anyways, the celeb appearances apart, but the makeup certainly took a lot of attention. And L'Oreal Paris too launched its Cannes 2015 collection, with some nice mattes, awesome glosses and fabulous coloured gel liners. I have been reading a lot about these and somehow, it was the gel liners which caught my fancy. And finally, my favourite colour landed in my kitty.

On the Outside
I really like L'Oreal for their packaging. This one too comes in a nice black and golden outer packaging that looks so classy. It has all details mentioned on it, along with the shade name and has a tiny window showing off the gel liner. Carries a decent brush and the liner pot. Inside, the liner is housed in a cute little sturdy glass pot with a screw cap. Overall, decent and classy indeed.

On the Inside

I love gel liners. I already possess an Inglot, one Maybelline and two MAC. Didn't find the Lakme ones too exciting but somehow, the blues in this range had me. I am a sucker for blue eyeliners and specially, dark navy colours. These liners are so much awesome to work with. They have amazing light and creamy texture which is easy to use. And the colour Sapphire Blue is a beautiful dark blue colour that borders black. Perfect Ink blue, like the Chelpark ink we used to fill in our Ink pens in school ;-) In one swipe, it looks a lovely blue. In two swipes, it nearly looks black. Shimmer is barely visible. Overall, an awesome treat for everyday use, specially with denims.

-  A gorgeous Ink blue colour that suits all complexions. 
- Wonderful creamy texture. 
- Good pigmentation and staying power (I have tested around 10 hours) 
- Completely waterproof and smudgeproof
- Makes awesome eyeshadow base.

-  The brush doesn't work that great (Maybelline wala brush is better). 
- Some people may find it a bit expensive.
