Eyes that speak volumes with Lotus Colorkick Kajal

By Tarry

Hello beauties...
Finally, it's summers indeed. With the temperature already touching the other side of 30 degrees, its getting all hot and sweaty. But surprisingly, early mornings are still breezy. Perhaps the weather is transcending towards summers. Hope we have bearable summers this year ;-p

Ever since time mortal, kohl or kajal has been an integral part of every Indian woman's vanity. I remember as a child, my nani used to make kajal on Diwali with a diya and then, add camphor and almond oil to it before keeping it in a box. Surma is another version of this to make the eyes beautiful and healthy. The modern day versions like the colossals, absolutes, eyeconics and magiques are interesting too. Infact any brand that makes beauty products does make kajals too.

So, as my tryst with kajal continues, here is one of the new entrants and in my opinion, the best one so far....

Here's presenting to you,
Lotus Herbals Colorkick Kajal

 On the Outside
The Lotus Herbals Colorkick kajal is a budget product from the brand. They have another kajal which is on the costlier side. The packaging is super cute and am sure will be a hit with girls. A bright pink pencil with yellow lettering. The outer cover is pink and mauve and apart from details, also gives three different looks with the kajal.  A travel friendly packaging that is sturdy. The kajal itself is retractable pencil which ensures no wastage at all. Full points to the outer look indeed ... thumbs up!

On the Inside
Ooh! I may never go back to my colossals and eyeconics now. This is the blackest of the lot. The pigmentation I get with three swipes of colossal and four of eyeconic are achieved in just a single swipe with this one. It's creamy, extremely black and sets to an awesome dark finish. Also, it stays for real long, say about 7 to 8 hours on my waterline, although the intensity becomes a little less after 5 hours. Recently, I was out with a friend and he pointed out that my eyes look awesome and did i wear the kajal for the first time. And this was when I had applied the kajal 4 hours ago ! Such is the intensity. Am totally in love with it.

PEL Rating
Are you kidding me! I cannot give this anything less than 5 out of 5. The swatch and EOTD are a fine example for this. I have applied just one swipe on my waterline.

PEL SHOUTS
The Lotus herbal Colorkick Kajal is a true black kajal that gives intense colour in just one swipe. Infact, the smokey looks created with this one look more stark than any other kajal. It performs as it claims and is just the best one available in its price range. A must have for kajal lovers.
