My top 5 beauty uses of Castor Oil

By Tarry

Hi sweeties and lovelies,
How are you all doing?

Well, the weather is surely changing rapidly now and it's getting hotter here across North India. Hmm.... so summers are coming ... But the mornings and evenings still have those coldy kind of winds.
I have been into a lot of natural recipes for skin and hair care these days. So much, that my night time skin care has become totally natural. And I have seen positive results with these little changes.

Off late, I discovered the benefits of Castor Oil. Yes, this thick yellow oil can do wonders for your skin and hair and unlike the popular thought that it can only be used by dry skinned people, those who have oily skin can also try it with a little twist here and there. I am simply loving this one, so thought would share it with you too. Btw, I have oily skin and dry hair.

Presenting, for you all,
Top 5 uses of the Castor Oil

First, let me share with you some details about Castor Oil. Castor oil is used by folk healers around the world to treat a number of ailments. It is an antioxidant oil, used over centuries for its medicinal and therapeutic benefits. This pale yellow liquid extracted from castor seeds is an anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal, used topically for certain skin conditions, reduces pain and stimulates the immune system. Surprisingly this foul tasting oil is widely used in cosmetics, soaps, textiles, medicines, massage oils and many more products. Castor oil is very effective for a number of ailments because it has a high content of unsaturated fatty acids.

Now, here's I have been using the castor oil :
1. Cleanser and makeup remover : Well, it's the best one I have tried till date. Mix two parts of Pure castor oil (you can opt for Cold pressed or IP, both are fine) with one part of olive oil for dry skin or sesame oil for oily skin. Both olive and sesame oil dilute the thickness of this oil. Like any other cleansing oil, apply this mix on your face, including on that stubborn waterproof one too, and massage it. Wipe off for a clean smooth face and wash off with a mild face wash.

2. Under eye serum : Yes, It's been two months since I stopped using any eye cream or eye serum on the under eye area. And my newly formed lines have reduced, the dark circles have vanished and the skin feels more firm. Add three parts of castor oil with one part of almond oil. Use this mix as your under eye cream and even massage some on your eye lashes. Be consistent and see those lines and dark circles getting lightened.

3. Eye lashes and eye brow growth serum : Well, we all know this one, don't we. And I have seen it working personally. My brows look much darker and lashes.... aha! Also, this can be used post eye brow tweezing or threading for a soothing effect as well.

4.   Dry scalp rejuvenating oil : I love it for this. Since castor oil in itself is quick thick, add coconut oil in it, say one part of castor oil with two parts of coconut oil. Apply it after warming it and wash off your hair after two hours. It does help dry scalp and dry hair in a long run.

5. Nail strengthener : Yes Yes Yes! This is the best nail growth serum I have seen so far. I have a chipped nail in my right hand and no amount of serums helped it. But pure castor rubbed at bedtime has really helped strengthen my nails and the chipping too has reduced a lot.

PEL SHOUTS
These are my top 5 uses of castor oil. I use it as a cleanser almost everyday and it hasn't broken me out. The combination with sesame oil has further helped in clearing my skin.
