Street Vs Brands : It's florals and florals all the way
By Aakriti
When
you dig in deep into your mom's old clothes … there are 90 % chances that you'd
find a floral print for sure.
Hi
Girls…, like we all know floral print is this year's biggest trend. But the
fact is that it has come back and kind of remains evergreen and thus, makes it
a "MUST HAVE" in your closet. I chose my younger sister, Sarah, as
the model for this post as I personally feel she's a teenage diva who carries
florals extremely well J
My
today's street vs brands post is on my collection of floral print summer tops.
First up is Street

The
Saket Mall in New Delhi is not only famous for the brands it keeps but also a
courtyard street sale it has every weekend in the outskirts of the building in
their garden area. So, I happened to be flipping from bundles of clothes and
shoes and happened to have struck at this amazing floral strappy top. It has a
black base with Pink colour dominated florals scattered around it.

The floral
print on it is medium sized making it neutral for both thin as well as plumpy
girls. It's Chiffon with a black lining inside it and can be paired with black
pants, pink pants, white pants or even our all time favourite denims.
I
picked it up after alot of bargaining at INR 350 only which I feel was a
reasonable deal.
And here comes Brands

From
Dad's trip to USA , during the time of heavy sales in the week of Black friday
is when he happened to have picked this lovely Floral print top from
"ABERCROMBIE and FITCH" store. Not only do I love this brand but also
the style of this top. The water fall style and cut of layers makes it look
just perfect especially over skinny girls like me. It's got small floral print
all over it in pinks and white.

I usually pair it with a white pant or light blue denims. Purchased obviously in dollars after converting, this pretty top costs around INR 1700, and trust me for a brand like that, it was for a deal to fall for.
Tip
for floral prints
If
you are on the heavier side avoid large floral prints as the scattered over and
show on small areas, sometimes leading to an unwanted focus over areas one
wants to rather hide. If you're on the skinnier side, go for medium or small
prints scattered all over that make you look fuller.
PEL SHOUTS : OOH! I am literally drooling over both these tops. They look amazingly and super comfy. I too have two floral print tops and agree that they go well with almost anything and everything. And kid sis Sarah looks like a teenage Diva indeed, sporting these tops with complete e'lan. Loved them <3 <3
