JOTD : Getting off my Comfort Zone featuring MaalGaadi India
Hello
my lovely people…
The
weather has just turned beautiful… After months of dry weather, it’s finally
raining. And yes, it’s raining cats and dogs…
Although
these rains are bringing in destruction, they will also bring loads of
smiles on the farmer’s faces.
Oh
how much I want to grab that kulhad wali chai in my hands, some bun butter or
even those freshly baked patties, and sit under a tin roof, enjoying the music
of the rain !
Well, I have an eternal romantic, hidden somewhere deep inside me. But
when it comes to dressing up, the brute girl always takes over this romantic
girl. Florals, bling and braids, all associated with romantics, have never been
my forte. But yes, I love taking challenges and that’s what inspires me to keep
going.
Getting
out of my comfort zone is something I always wanted to delve into. So when I
had to create a JOTD look featuring one of the most beautiful ear cuffs from
MaalGaadi India’s collection (link to the post featuring MaalGaadi’s Shweta
Dawar here ), I decided to do a romantic kind of a look. Not that traditional
one with a flowing gown and stuff (I am as comfortable in my denims as I am uncomfortable
in those ;-) , but something that came close.
Also,
the fact that ear cuffs are always associated with the rugged, rocker chic and
biker chic looks, it was interesting to add that element of romanticism with
them.
So my beautiful people, here's

Amongst
the many ear cuffs I bought from MGI, I loved this one the best. Somehow, it
goes well with both ethnic and western outfits. Also, bling and ear cuffs are
really high on the fashion scene at the moment, so this just fitted perfectly.
Incidentally, I also have a pair of star earrings which I never wore because
one of them broke L

So
when I got this one, I decided to pair it with the sole earring in the other
ear. Hair was messily braided to one side with light makeup, as I did not want
the focus to shift from the cuff. It makes the face and entire persona stand out so well.

Alongwith
the earcuffs, I also shopped a few midi rings and I must tell you that MGI has
such an affordable collection here too. I wanted to choose just the band ones,
but then, settled for a few blingy ones too. While the band one, called ‘band-o-bast’
is my personal favourite, I also liked the second one ‘bling-is-my-thing’.
Both are awesome.

I
really liked the final look and although I tried to pose like a typical shy
romantic girl, the hyper funny brute inside me took over again… :-D So please ignore some
ajeeb expressions. Now its for you to tell me that in this fight between the
brute and the romantic, who eventually won?
