Swatch attack : New shades of Chambor Powder matte lipsticks

By Tarry

Hola lovelies

How have you been dealing with the scorching heat ? I am more into liquids, salads and fruits these days. Can’t think of eating anything much, although on my birthday, I ended up having a high calorie lunch and dinner as well.

Anyways, I did a bit of shopping when my friend was here all the way from Delhi and beauty buys were surely on my list. SO the other day when I went to Shoppers Shop, I saw some newbies at the Chambor counter. I was planning to buy a Revlon Matte Balm but since the shade I wanted was out of stock, I turned towards Chambor. This is one brand I really like for their mattes. The Chambor Powder matte lipsticks had been my favourite long back although I did not like their bulky blue packaging. They looked quite odd and cheesy… J

But finally, the Powder Matte lipsticks are now in a very classy packaging. Gone is the blue, enters the classy black. Gone is the bulky fat packaging, enters the sleek, rectangular tube. I was amazed. And I loved every bit of this new packaging. Although, the new formular is more creamy that settles into matte rather than being extremely dry like the earlier ones. The new formula claims to have anti ageing properties and even has SPF 15 for sun protection,  WOW!
The price has been hiked to Rs 595.

I ended up buying two of these, including one of the new shades, which I would be reviewing soon.  Meanwhile, I did a quick swatch thingie of these new shades for you all to check. Trust me, the formula is really good and those who love matte should go for it. So here are the swatches. These are all just one swipe and the colours are buildable.

1.   Gypsy Red
2.   Sugar Pink
3.   Black cherry
4.   Pink Flamingo
5.   Crimson Red

Gypsy Red : A plummish cherry shade. Would look gorgeous on medium to dusky beauties and can be worn everyday as it is not too bright on the lips. Not a summery shade though, this can be still be worn easily.

Sugar Pink : Single swipe makes it look light pink. But two swipes and it is one of the most beautiful nudey pink shades. It is neither too bright nor neonish, so those who love mattes and love nude looking pinks can pick this up for sure.  Will suit fair to medium beauties more.

Black Cherry  : This can aptly be called the Indian wedding Red. Perfect for summer brides, this would look good on all complexions. A maroonish red colour, this one can go well with all ethnic outfits and even winged eyeliner.

Pink Flamingo : A true summer shade. A lovely vibrant pink, that will brighten up all complexions.  Those who love pinks and those who want a shade that promises to brighten in just one swipe should buy it. A favourite.

Crimson Red : Another shade apt for Indian weddings and even those who would like to have red lips but are afraid of trying out bold colours. I personally loved this shade and I feel that medium and dusky beauties can wear it almost everyday.
What I liked about these colours is that they are true mattes, no glossiness, no shine, no shimmer. Just pure matte. I love the texture and I have been wearing mine almost everyday. They are really light on lips and stay on for some 6 hours, which is good.

I did pick one of these shades. Can you guess which one. Also, do tell me which shade did you like. This is my first swatch attack post. If you like it, do tell me and I would try doing more.

Indeed Nats... and the finish and pigmentation is awesome too... I loved the fact that they are really long wearing and do not feel cakey on the lips.
