Wedding seasons 1 - Tilak ceremony FOTD
By Tarry
Hi my lovelies and beauties... <3...
How are you all doing? So Finally, after a hectic work and personal fortnight, I am finally back :-) Hmmm, back to my beautiful world of blogging and my super awesome friends...
As some of you may be aware, I was really busy off late because of a wedding in the family. And this wedding completely changed my position in the family. From the kid sis, I have become a saas now ;-)
Yes, before getting a shocker... my eldest nephew got married last weekend and since I am the bua, I became the "bua saas". But this new designation did not stop me from taking this as an opportunity to show off my blogger side :-) So I would have two posts dedicated to the two ceremonies I attended. Let me apologise for bad pix first as I was most of the time busy dancing and hardly had any time for pix...
First of all let me thank my dear friend Apurva of Kalapallette. She is an absolute sweetheart. For the ceremony, I wanted to go not ethnic, but a lil western. I had recently wacked a lovely Jamawar collarless blazer from my dad and got it fitted for myself.
I decided to team it with a pair of denims and bare accessories. But was really confused as to what I can wear under the blazer. Apurva came to my rescue and such a short notice and although lot of mishaps did happen, her tips surely worked a lot for me and fetched me too many compliments... Love ya Apurva <3 <3
Do check her blog http://www.kalapalette.com/
Here is a pix of me with my niece. She too is a pucca tomboy like me... :-)
I had to team my blazer with a black short collared shirt as the tee I wanted to wear ripped while packing :'( However, this too looked perfect and since the blazer was rich in colour, the black helped it from going over the top. The denims and dull gold wedges also completely complemented.
This is the "gallu-milli" pic with my adorable little niece. She keeps hanging on to me whenever I am around and is such a darling <3 <3
Here is one pic finally, where my makeup is more evident. I am wearing pearl studs in my ears for the statement piece. On my face, I used Lakme CC cream (beige+bronze) as a base. Since I did not have much time, did not get a chance to conceal the two pimples that popped up overnight :-(
On my cheeks, I used a bit of bronzer for that natural look. And thanks dear Rmyah for that....
For the eyes, I used clarins mono eyeshadow in champagne for base, and then, created my first ever winged eye liner. For this, I used the Inglot AMC gel liner in 77. Love the formula <3 On my waterline, I used a Rimmel white kohl for opening up the eyes.
On my lips, I decided to go neutral. So it was a bourjois lip pencil in peach as the base and MAC lipglass Deelight (Love you Agnirupa Acharya for this fabulous one) on top. My new lip pigmentation treatment has done wonders for my lips and now, they have a rosy pink hue all the time. Will be sharing it soon.
This one is a family pic of sorts. And we were all posing for the other camera. The tallest boy is the groom, on his left is my jiju and my cute nephew. On his right are my dad, my mom, my elder sis and me. This pic was taken by another cousin of mine. While we are all looking at the cameraman, my nephew caught my cousin and looked at her. :-)
I so very wanted to have an OOTD but could hardly manage to have pics taken from the mobile... :(
DO give me your feedback as to how you liked this post and my complete look? Also, share your blog links in the comments box below and we will start following each other mutually for sure... Am waiting :-)
