Rimmel London Soft Kohl kajal eyeliner in Pure white - review, swatch, fotd and eotd.
By Tarry
Hello friends and my dahlings.... :-)
It's been really chilly and foggy since the past two days and I am in absolute love with this weather. I had an awesome weekend when I met an old friend after a very long time over coffee (Have instagrammed the pic for that). And my christmas haul also came early, so it was just perfect for me to enjoy. I will share my haul over the next few days :-)
Hmmm... so the title says review and I am blabbering about my christmas haul. Not fair na ! Chalo, let me get back to work now ;-) As most of you must be knowing, nude and white eye pencils are a rage across the blogging globe now and somehow, almost everyone seems to be using them for some or the other eye look.
I saw a video by an awesome Indian youtuber and a dear friend, Komal of Delhifashionblogger (do check her blog on youtube) where she did a video of doll eyes makeup look. There she used a nude eye pencil which made her eyes really awake, big and absolutely lovely. Ever since that day, I was looking for a nude or a white eye pencil and my hunt finally ended with Rimmel London. Now this is a brand which because of its awesome products in affordable prices is really rocking it big time.
I have been using this white soft kohl since last one month and I think this is just the right time to review it for my dearies. So here, presenting to you my lovely ladies, is the Rimmel London Soft Kohl kajal eyeliner in Pure white.

Ever since that day, I was looking for a nude or a white eye pencil and my hunt finally ended with Rimmel London. I have been using this white soft kohl since last one month and I think this is just the right time to review it for my dearies. So here, presenting to you my lovely ladies, is the Rimmel London Soft Kohl kajal eyeliner in Pure white.
Price : Rs 170 for 1.2 gms (yes, it's so dirt cheap... but no compromise on quality)
Availability : It's available online on Nykaa.com and Slassy.com
What the brand claims : Soft, smudgeable colour kajal liner pencil. Soft, smudgeable line. Fade resistant colour. This pencil gives dense colour application, which can be blended into the lid for a softly smudged look. A very easy to apply formulation. jet black, sable brown, denim blue, green shimmer, purple passion, jungle green, stormy grey, pure white, royal blue. All in all there are 9 colors to choose from.
Now with almost everyone going ga-ga over the white and nude eyeliners, I thought that I should try one too. And Rimmel is a brand I have started to trust. The packaging is lovely, with the wooden sharpenable pencil and the tight-fitting cap as the same shade as of the pencil colour. Amongst several coloured pencils in my case, this looks simply elegant. The lettering on the pencil is in silver colour. It's called the soft kohl and it does have a creamy texture, making it super easy to glide on the lids and even on the waterline.
I really love the texture of the pencil. It is neither too hard to hurt the eyes and nor too soft to break. Infact, the wooden pencil also sharpens very smoothly, making it easy to use and sharp. I have been using it for atleast 6 different purposes (I'll share a post on that if you guys want) and I have been loving it. On my supersensitive waterline, it doesn't itch or hurt and on my sis who wears contacts, there is no problem at all. So it seems safe for waterline and contact lens wearers too.
Here comes the swatch of this awesome pencil. I just swipe it twice on the waterline to get a lovely soft white colour, which is not too stark or dramatic. The swatch is just one swipe.
On the swatch it looks too dark, but on the eyes it is much softer.
And Lo and behold friends, here comes the EOTD. On my eyes, it stays for a good 5 hours after which, it fades gently.
I am wearing my bourjois black pencil on the lids and the Rimmel London Soft Kohl kajal eyeliner in Pure white on my waterline. It really opens up my eyes and makes those winged eye looks even more beautiful.
And now, see how it fares on me :-)
Overall, based on the price, the quality and the texture, I can easily give it a 4.95 out of 5 on PEL. I deducted some points because of availability. I think at this price, it is a must have for everyone.
