BEAUTY BOX - Maybelline Colour Show nail colour in Shocking Seas review and LOTD
By Tarry
Hey all!
Finally, I saw the first sign of autumn today. The morning was all misty and soft, oozing out oodles of romance in the air. Somehow, I always find autumn a more romantic weather than spring. The mistiness in the air makes everything come under soft focus, which is so beautiful.
Anyways, coming back to the original topic. Yesterday me and Maggie went out for some masti and shopping. And while window shopping at a mall here, we went to the Maybelline counter. As I was looking at some lip colours, I suddenly saw the new launch babies and I shouted "Kitte cute hain"... Yes, that was my expression when I saw the newly launched Maybelline Colour Show nail colours. They were sitting near the counter in a cute stackable box. The colours were literally calling out to me. And after trying out atleast a dozen of those cute colours, I finally ended up buying the shade Shocking Seas.
Price : Rs 75 (I love Maybelline ;-)
Brand claims : The fashion fix for your fingertips. Stay right on trend from your tips to your toes with new Maybelline Color Show. Our gel based formula with color popping pigments, comes in 40 bold, super stylish shades that look great on nails. So go on, mix, match and make the most of color.
I must admit that these colorshow nail colours were an instant love-at-first-sight for me. From the lovely nude to superb berry and the awesome blues, corals and even mint green, it has almost all the shades. While some have shimmers, there are lovely mattes too. So you can take your pick according to your choice.
The shade Shocking seas is a lovely cerulean blue shade. This used to be my favourite colour in poster colours too :) The nail paint is of a very good consistency, which does not apply in a patchy way. Infact, it is a wonderful opaque colour which comes fullest in just two swipes.
What I also liked about this colour is that it dried up quickly to a wonderful matte finish with a glossy shine. No patchiness, no brush marks nothing. A gel like finish, which looks awesome. Incidentally, when I tried some other shades at the store, they looked a little uneven. But this one comes out really well on the nail and even on small nails like mine, it looks lovely.
Overall, I love the colour and the finish and the price and the texture.... and almost everything about these colorshow nail colours. Maybelline surely has a winner in their hands with this one and I am surely to buy a few shades more.
And yeah, this is me with a silly pose, trying to show off the nail colour ;-)
Have you tried the Maybelline Colour Show nail colours ? Which is your favourite colour? Do share you views on the same. Also, please leave in comments in the box below because it really encourages us.
