BEAUTY BOX - Lakme Absolute Forever Silk eyeliner Black last and Jaded Mint review and swatches

By Maggie, Co editor

Hello everyone.... : - )

I must say that when you go out for shopping for your beauty products, you do come across SAs who want to show you almost everything on their counters. You do tend to get carried away by their words and their sweet talks. And often, you go by their advices which end up with some good and some bad experiences for you.

Recently, the same happened with me too :'(  I went to buy my favorite Lakme eyeliner (which has stopped coming in the market and the company seems to have replaced that product with new one). The SA told me that I should opt for these two liners instead and because of her kajoling, it ended up buying two Lakme Absolute Forever Silk eyeliners in shades Black last and Jaded Mint.

Though I really like this brand for middle level range, but this time I am disappointed with quality of these range of liners.

Price:- Black last Rs 395/-, Jaded Mint Rs 410/-

According to brand : Lakme absolute forever silk eyeliner range has seven shades
1-Jaded Mint 2-Black Last 3-Blue Cosmic 4-Electric Violet 5.Earth Line 6-Grey Matter 7-Gypsy Green

Jaded mint is jewel emerald shade with little shimmer. And black last is dark simple black.

What company claims:- The soft, creamy texture with Vitamin E moisturizes and creates metallic hues for your eyes with a single stroke application. Enjoy smudge free, water-proof metallic shine that lasts up to 8 hours.

I completely disagree with this point because when you apply at your hand than its good but when you apply on your eyes than you will have to apply hard to get results, which tends to tug your eye lids. It does not come with even texture and you can easily see cracky lines which I don’t like at all. When you press too hard to apply, the liner which is a twist back form, breaks which is quite irritating
Jaded
Though I do agree with the company for other claims like waterproof, smudge proof and long stay. However, its one way twist up action is also irritating because if you twisted more than required, its impossible to get back. It is not suitable for waterline as well

Black Last

Over all, I am not happy with the lakme absolute forever silk liner range and it this price, I would buy rather something else.

PEL Speaks : I was all set to buy this Maggie as they looked really enticing. But now, with your review, I am keeping these off my list. And the swatches are a proof that this is not a great product. Am sure Lakme needs to make a check.

  4. dear, i am 100% sure these r fake ones, even my frnd encountered same thing, her eyeconic kajal and forever silk liner which she had got from lakme counter was so bad, those were not original ones. you can check swatches and review of blacklast and jaded mint online, the original ones r sooo pretty and long lasting and veryyy smooth to apply. i have got backups of these shades too.
