BEAUTY BOX- Lotus purestay lipstick in fuchsia smile - Review

Hi All, 

Today I am going to review one of my favourite lipsticks ... Lotus purestay lipstick in fuchsia smile. 

Before I start talking about what I like and what I don't like about this lip colour, Let me share you the story of this colour. 

My friend Tarry always wanted to me have a fuchsia lip color in my make up box. One day we went to shop for a lipstick for her for office wear and she did buy a faces lipcolour ( am sure she would review it soon). Since I was not doing anything, I asked the sales assistant to try out this shade, called Fuschia Smile, on me. 

As the very friendly SA was applying it on my thin lips, Tarry, who was busy on her cellphone, shouted… I thought something has gone wrong. But she immediately hung up and again screamed "this is just the colour I wanted for u".  I too felt that the colour instantly perked me up and so, here I was, coming out from store with a small cute pink carton containing my first fuchsia lipstick. 

Price : Rs 495 for 4.2 gms. (Good quantity)

About the packaging : The Lipstick comes in a lovely fitted satin pink cover, which is good enough to hold it when you want to keep it in your purse. The lipstick itself is encased in a shiny metallic light pink case.

According to the brand claims, Lotus Herbal Pure Stay lipstick range comes in 11 classy shades (coffee berry, purple daisy, cherry on top, fuchsia smile ,tulip love, dawn beauty, rose bliss, bubbly nude, rose mary, pristine maroon, apricot bliss). It is 100 % vegetarian and has absolutely natural ingredients and preservative free. The spf-20 gives you good UV protection also.

The lipstick and the range is matte. And it truly is. The texture of the lipstick is a little dry, which makes you exfoliate and apply balm on your lips before applying. You have to take extra care not to drop the lipstick or take out too much or else can break. Also, since it's too dry, it's difficult to get a smooth swipe on your lips. 

The colour is true fuschia that would suit fair to medium skin tones. It has long lasting colour (upto 5 to 6 hours), but one would need to apply lip balm before you apply this lip color. As for the price, when you compare the price (Rs 495 for 4.2 gms) to another brands of for similar range, you may find Purestay bit pricey. But the quality and the cute packing surely makes up for it. 

Overall, I would rate it a 4.5 out of 5.
