And weddings are an elaborate, once in a lifetime affair. So we are making sure that the grandeur is present along with safety,” says Joyjit Chakravorty, General Manager.

The hotel is taking extensive measures to ensure that all the functions from engagement to wedding are completely safe and stress free. Apart from the mandatory temperature check at the entry of the hotel and the venue, they also have a pulse check machine for the guests so that no safety point is missed out. While entering the function venue, Hand-free Sanitizing machines and Shoe Sanitization is provided. The Banquet hall is sanitized completely by the ULV machine for the complete disinfecting before and after every event. The top high touch points recognized by their dedicated Housekeeping Team are cleaned and disinfected on regular intervals. The restrooms are also given extra care to provide an enhanced safe environment to the guests

While venue safety is on priority, the hotel has a revamped menu too to ensure better health of the guests, without compromising on the taste. “We have a ‘Safety Warrior’ assigned to the venue who comes around on frequent intervals with a safety tray with sanitizer, tissues & wipes, to facilitate the guests, and as a reminder for all to take necessary precautions for everyone’s safety,” says Chakravorty. There are separate seating sections for Senior citizens to assure their safety, security and convenience, while for the kids, an attendant is provided as a caretaker by the F&B department who dedicatedly looks after them and ensures their safety & security. In food, fresh seasonal ingredients which boost immunity are used in the food preparations. Use of healthy cooking methods like slow cooking which traditionally used to be done are also being promoted. To top it all, an Immunity Booster drink is provided to the guests as a welcome drink.

Hence, we are not leaving any stones unturned to make it safe and happy.” The hotel is ensuring contactless delivery, hygienically packed cutlery, hand sanitizers at all locations and stickers placed at various junctures to remind people of social distancing and hygiene protocol.

For food too, the hotel is strictly following a hygiene protocol. “We ensure that the food is cooked at the right temperature and served fresh to ensure it is super healthy,” says Puri. Sanitized containers and covering the food from kitchen to serving area is also being followed religiously to avoid any contamination.

The staff will be wearing gloves and masks, and only the staff will be allowed to serve the buffet through a barricaded counter, where guests will not be allowed directly. Another important hygiene practice being followed here is that Tissues & other disposable items are being picked up by tongs only, to avoid any direct human contact.
